SSB Ultimate Tournament: The New Ways 4
Each month, the Dojo hosts tournaments for Smash Ultimate and Smash Melee. Join us this on September 10th for a competition in the ‘New Ways' of Smash Ultimate! Players must bring their own setups in order to compete (see below).
ENTRY FEE
Venue: $5 + Singles: $5
SCHEDULE
2:00 PM - Venue Opens
6:00 PM Check-in starts
7:00 PM - Bracket starts
12:00 AM - Venue closes
Please try to be there before 7:00 so you can check in and warm-up! We will do our best to accommodate people running late, but there is a limit. Plan accordingly so you don't miss your matches being called!
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
In order to enter the tournament, please bring:
A Nintendo Switch with the most up to date version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (please ensure any and all mods are disabled beforehand)
All DLC characters purchased up to the date of the tournament
A Nintendo Switch dock with all of the necessary cables
A GameCube controller adapter (Input Integrity preferred, but not necessary)
A monitor (with as minimal lag as possible) along with all necessary cables. The monitor must be flat and either 720p or 1080p, and capable of sound or be paired with speakers.
The Dragon's Dojo is not responsible for any setups brought to the tournament. If you are concerned about your Switch's, safety this is a cheap and functional deterrent.
If you do bring a setup and receive the venue fee waiver, please expect to keep your setup available for the duration of the tournament until notified by Dojo staff. This will most likely be until around top 8 of the tournament.
This tournament will have an entry cap of 32 attendees. If you pre-register and won't be able to make it, please email Dragonsdojo802@gmail.com so we can remove you.
RULES
The New Ways will be played according to existing Vermont Smash Ruleset.
Rules will be explained on-site at the tournament with reference sheets of the below image available for clarity.

PAYOUT
<10 Entrants:
1st - 70%
2nd - 30%
10-20 Entrants:
1st - 60%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 10%
20-32 Entrants:
1st - 50%
2nd - 25%
3rd - 15%
4th - 10%
As long as there are enough entrants, top placements will be awarded with $10 in credit on their own (or if necessary, a new player card) to be used with the machines at The Dragon's Dojo.

Each month, the Dojo hosts tournaments for Smash Ultimate and Smash Melee. Join us this Thursday for a competition in the 'Old Ways' of Smash Melee! Players must bring their own setups in order to compete (see below).
